Nick is a seasoned campaign strategist with over a decade of experience leading more than 20 political and advocacy campaigns. His work spans electoral races, nonprofit field operations, and grassroots organizing, with a strong focus on setting up down-ballot candidates for long-term success. Nick is known for his strategic insight, leadership, and ability to build efficient, scalable campaign systems. He’s passionate about creating sustainable infrastructure that not only powers winning campaigns today but also supports future candidates and movements for years to come.

Johnson Smith - Senior Advisor, Finance
Johnson brings nearly ten years of experience in national fundraising, campaign strategy, and organizational consulting, with nearly $500 million raised. He has held senior finance roles on high-profile races, including Texas Finance Director for Beto for Governor, Jeff Jackson and Amy McGrath for U.S. Senate, and raised $6 million for Michigan Attorney General Dana Nesse, one of the highest-raising AG candidates in the nation’s history. He is the CEO of Johnson Consulting, and serves on the Board of the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, is a Kentucky Colonel, and enjoys traveling with his boyfriend, spoiling his nephews, and attending concerts.

Based in Massachusetts, she has worked on a wide range of races - from municipal to congressional to statewide—and played key roles on several statewide ballot initiatives. Sara brings strong field expertise, sharp political instincts, and a deep commitment to organizing that builds lasting local power.

Chelsea Ferron - Knowledge Management Director
Chelsea is a knowledge management expert with over five years of experience helping teams stay organized, efficient, and focused. She specializes in structuring information, building taxonomies, and improving access to critical data and documentation. Her systems support faster decision-making, clearer communication, and smoother day-to-day operations. With years of hands-on campaign volunteer work, Chelsea understands the pace and pressure of political organizing and brings tools that help campaigns run smarter—not harder.

Jazzy Oates - Mental Performance Director
Jazzy , MS, MS, CMPC, ATC, CSCS, is a Mental Performance Coach at the University of Louisville, and also serves as a Student Success Manager at Dominican University of California. Previously, she worked with military service members, delivering programs to strengthen focus, emotional regulation, and decision-making under pressure. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, a Master of Science in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology, and a Master of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new cuisines, reading, and spending time outdoors with her pup, Rowdy.

Mei Wu - Associate
Mei is a sophomore at Tufts University studying International Relations, Economics, and Chinese, with a strong interest in the intersection of strategy, narrative, and government. Over the last four years, she has led digital campaign efforts, built voter outreach systems, and mobilized teams to drive real-world impact. She approaches her work with both analytical rigor and creative insight, grounded in a sharp attention to detail. At Ready Set Campaign, she’s focused on helping candidates translate vision into strategy– and strategy into results.

Boden Wise - Associate
Boden is a student of Political Science and Religious Studies at Tufts University. He began his interest in politics while advocating for human rights in Kenya and working for city council races in Seattle, where he realized the importance of building connections between grassroots political organizing and faith communities. When he’s not working, you can find Boden preparing with his mock trial team for a competition or participating in debates for the Tufts Democrats.

Caleb Aklilu - Associate
Caleb is a sophomore at Tufts University. Raised in Chicago, Caleb moved to Somerville to study Arabic, Economics, and International Relations. Caleb’s passion for politics developed during his time serving his community as a volunteer, where he bore witness to the consequences of underrepresentation in the democratic process. When he’s not working, you can find Caleb editing for the Tufts international relations journal, Hemispheres, or studying at the Tisch Library.
